The story

Thomas Dawn was founded by husband-and-wife team Heather and John Bedford around a shared belief that great design should feel timeless, personal, and exceptionally well made. For more than two decades, the company has worked with homeowners, designers, and architects to create custom indoor and outdoor upholstery in Los Angeles.

Every piece is built to order, allowing proportion, comfort, fabric, and finish to respond to the room rather than forcing the room to adapt to the furniture. The brand’s confident architectural lines are softened by careful tailoring and comfort you can feel—a distinctly Southern California approach to relaxed modern living.
