Shipping & Delivery

Modern Studio delivers modern furniture, lighting, décor, and fitness equipment throughout the United States. Because our assortment ranges from small parcel items to made-to-order furniture, the delivery method shown on the product page, in the cart, at checkout, or in a written quote is the controlling delivery method for that order.

Quick delivery guide

  • Eligible small parcel orders under $49: $4.95 standard shipping within the contiguous United States.
  • Eligible small parcel orders of $49 or more: complimentary standard shipping within the contiguous United States.
  • Qualifying furniture orders of $2,500 or more: complimentary threshold delivery may be included where shown at checkout or confirmed in writing.
  • Southern California white-glove delivery: available from $149 per delivery trip for eligible addresses and products.
  • Nationwide room-of-choice delivery: available from $299.
  • Nationwide white-glove delivery: available from $399 and typically includes placement, light assembly where applicable, and packaging removal.
  • Qualifying Copeland Furniture orders of $4,999 or more: complimentary white-glove delivery may be available within the contiguous United States after address and access review and written confirmation.

Brand-specific programs, promotional delivery offers, and app-calculated rates may replace these starting rates. The delivery option displayed at checkout or confirmed by our team is the final rate for the order.

Parcel shipping

In-stock parcel items generally leave the warehouse within 3–5 business days. Transit is commonly 5–15 business days, depending on origin, destination, carrier, and product availability. Orders may ship from more than one location and arrive in separate packages, each with its own tracking information.

Furniture and oversized delivery

Furniture, lighting, fitness equipment, and oversized items may require threshold, room-of-choice, white-glove, or manufacturer-direct delivery. Threshold delivery is made to the first dry, secure area of the residence or building. Room-of-choice service includes delivery to the selected room. White-glove service generally includes placement, light assembly where applicable, and packaging removal.

Service availability depends on the product, manufacturer, delivery address, carrier coverage, and building access. Delivery teams do not perform electrical, plumbing, wall-mounting, structural installation, or furniture modification unless the service is specifically included in writing.

Scheduling and access

Specialty carriers will contact you to arrange a delivery appointment. Please disclose stairs, elevators, narrow hallways, gated access, loading restrictions, limited parking, remote access, or other site conditions before the order is finalized. Measure all doors, hallways, stairways, elevators, and the intended placement area before ordering.

Additional charges

Remote locations, islands, Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, unusual access, stair carries, storage caused by a missed appointment, redelivery, restricted delivery windows, installation, and other non-standard services may require an additional charge. We will disclose and confirm any non-standard charge before the affected service is finalized whenever carrier information is available.

Made-to-order and backordered items

Many products are made to order. Production and delivery dates are estimates rather than guarantees. If an item is backordered or materially delayed, we will contact you with the available options.

Delivery inspection and damage

Inspect cartons and furniture before signing the delivery receipt. Note visible damage on the carrier paperwork and photograph the packaging and product. Contact Modern Studio promptly at modern@modernfurnishings.com or (949) 376-0103 so we can assist with a freight claim or replacement.

Canada and international orders

Availability and pricing for Canada and other international destinations vary by product and manufacturer. Import duties, taxes, tariffs, brokerage, customs fees, and destination charges are the recipient’s responsibility unless specifically included in writing. Contact us before ordering if checkout does not provide a rate.
