Choosing a curved sofa
A curved sofa softens a square room and turns seating toward the conversation. This collection brings together 25 indoor curved sofas, curved sectionals and loveseats, from Whiteline’s Nest Curve, Rhodes and Perla to Mobital’s FAUNA, Itza, SWERVE and Moritz, American Leather’s Curved Matteo and Athlea, Ethnicraft’s Ellipse and sculptural pieces by Interior Moderna. Prices start around $1,150.

Where does a curved sofa work best?
Curved sofas look their best floating in a room, in front of a window or facing a fireplace, where the back is visible. They suit open-plan spaces and round or oval coffee tables. Against a straight wall, a gentle curve leaves small gaps at the ends.
How much space does a curved sofa need?
Measure the full width and the depth at the center of the curve, which is often deeper than a straight sofa. Leave 30 to 36 inches of walkway around it and 14 to 18 inches to the coffee table. Our sofa and sectional dimensions guide covers doorway and stair checks too.
Curved sofa or sectional?
A single curved sofa makes a statement on its own. A curved sectional, like Mobital’s FAUNA or SWERVE, wraps around a seating area for more people. Compare layouts in our sectional vs sofa guide.
