2027 colors of the year, and the furniture to pair them with.

Sherwin-Williams chose Celery, Behr chose Grounded, Dulux chose Soulful Sage, Benjamin Moore chose Webster Green, and Dutch Boy went warm with Deep Rooted. Green leads, so here is how to bring each color in through sofas, chairs, wood, lighting and fabric, with swatches you can order.

The 2027 picks so far

Four greens and one earthy orange.

Paint brands announce their colors of the year through the fall. These five are confirmed, in each brand’s own words.

Sherwin-Williams

Celery SW 6421

“A soft, muted green with subtle yellow undertones.” Sherwin-Williams pairs it with soft neutrals, grounded earth tones, nature-inspired greens, expressive accents and jewel tones.

Furniture: cream bouclé, walnut and cherry, sage velvet.

Behr

Grounded T27-01

An earthy olive green that “moves effortlessly between olive and moss, anchored by subtle brown undertones.”

Furniture: moss and olive upholstery, brown leather, warm wood.

Dulux / AkzoNobel

Soulful Sage

“An ethereal, soft and silvery green.” Dulux suggests it on its own for a wraparound scheme or as a combination shade.

Furniture: pale oak, sage velvet, natural linen.

Benjamin Moore

Webster Green HC-130

A “quintessential green” that Benjamin Moore says pairs “reassuring stability with optimistic energy.” Announced October 14, 2026.

Furniture: moss and olive upholstery, sage velvet, walnut and cherry.

Dutch Boy

Deep Rooted 311-7DB

A “rich, earthy orange” that Dutch Boy says pairs with soft neutrals, expressive blues and calming greens.

Furniture: rust chenille, ginger bouclé, cognac leather.

Benjamin Moore confirmed

Webster Green HC-130, and Pantone still to come

Benjamin Moore · Webster Green HC-130

On October 14, 2026, Benjamin Moore named Webster Green HC-130 its 2027 Color of the Year — a “quintessential green” that the brand says pairs “reassuring stability with optimistic energy.” Andrea Magno, Benjamin Moore’s VP of Brand, Color, and Integrated Marketing, called it a mid-tone green that “serves as a reminder of the past but feels right and relevant today.”

It anchors the Color Trends 2027 palette with seven companions, including White Down OC-131, Shakespeare Tan 228, Antique Copper 1169 and Townsend Harbor Brown HC-64.

Furniture: moss and olive upholstery (Ethnicraft N701, Wilder, Tovin), sage velvet, walnut or cherry wood, and amber glass lighting. Keep the sofa neutral if you paint the walls Webster Green, and bring the green in through chairs and swatches.

Pantone

Pantone typically announces its Color of the Year in early December. We’ll update this guide after the official 2027 reveal — never with unconfirmed leaks.

Celery, sage & olive

Bring green in through the big pieces, or just one chair.

Grounded and olive are deep enough for a sofa. Ethnicraft’s N701 in moss is the boldest way in, and it sits well against walnut paneling and white walls alike.

Celery, Soulful Sage and Webster Green span light to mid-tone greens. Use them on walls with furniture in cream, natural wood and one green accent. A sage or olive velvet swivel is an easy first step.

If green walls are the plan, keep the sofa neutral and use green in chairs, cushions and a rug, so the room doesn’t go flat.
