Travertine coffee tables, dining tables and more

Travertine is a natural limestone with a warm, sandy tone and a softly pitted texture. This collection gathers 41 travertine pieces: travertine coffee tables and side tables from Modern Studio and Mobital, travertine dining tables, bistro and counter tables, a sideboard and a sofa table. For the patio, Harbour’s Porto travertine round and pill-shaped dining tables run from 48 to 120 inches. Prices start around $550 for a side table.

Related: marble and stone dining tables, coffee tables, dining tables and outdoor dining tables.

Is travertine good for a coffee table or dining table?

Yes. Travertine is durable and stays cool and solid underfoot or under a plate, but like marble it is porous and reacts to acids. Use coasters, wipe spills quickly with a damp cloth and a pH-neutral cleaner, and follow the maker’s care advice on sealing. Natural stone varies, so expect each top to differ slightly in color and pattern.

    Can travertine furniture go outdoors?

Some can. The Harbour Porto tables and the Tulum lounge chair in this collection are designed for outdoor living. Indoor pieces should stay inside. Check each product’s description for its intended use and care before you order.

Travertine vs marble: what is the difference?

Both are natural, calcium-based stones. Marble usually has a smoother, denser surface with defined veining. Travertine forms with small pores and holes, giving it an earthier, textured look in creams, beiges and greys. Browse marble dining tables to compare.

What size travertine coffee table should I choose?

A common rule is about two-thirds the length of your sofa, set 14 to 18 inches from the seat. Our coffee table size and height guide walks through the measurements.
