How our sales work
Offers are set brand by brand.
Modern Studio carries designers and workshops from Vermont to Northern Italy, and each one sets its own promotions. Eligible products, savings and end dates vary by brand. When an item is reduced, the sale price appears on its product page and at checkout, so you don’t need a code to find it.

Many of our pieces are made to order, so the earlier you order, the earlier it arrives. If you want something before the holidays, ask us about stocked and quick-ship pieces.

Plan ahead
Five steps to a Black Friday purchase you’ll keep.
1. Measure now
Measure the room, the doorways and the stairs before the sale starts. For tables, stools and lighting, see our guides to extendable dining tables, stool sizing and chandelier sizing.
2. Order swatches early
Fabric, leather and wood samples take time to arrive. Several brands offer them, including Soho Concept and Huppé.
3. Check the lead time
Made-to-order pieces are built after you order. A Black Friday order for a made-to-order sofa or table is usually a winter or spring delivery. Each product page shows its lead time, or ask us.
4. Need it for the holidays?
Ask about stocked pieces. For example, NAOS QuickShip tables typically ship in 2–4 weeks when in stock. See our NAOS QuickShip guide and transforming tables guide.
5. Confirm delivery
Large pieces may need white-glove delivery or special access. We confirm price, lead time and delivery before you order.

When does the Modern Studio Black Friday sale start?
Each brand sets its own dates. Reduced prices appear on product pages as soon as an offer is live. Check the Black Friday Sale collection, or contact us to ask about a specific brand.
Do I need a promo code?
Not for reduced items. The sale price is already on the product page and is applied at checkout.
Can I combine offers?
Generally, no. For example, the Thomas Dawn custom upholstery welcome offer doesn’t apply to sale items and can’t be combined with other discounts. Ask us about a specific order.
Will it arrive before Christmas?
That depends on the piece. Made-to-order furniture is built after you order, often over several weeks. Stocked and quick-ship pieces can arrive sooner. We confirm timing before you buy.
Do sale prices apply to custom options?
It depends on the brand and the offer. Ask us before you order, and we’ll confirm the price of your exact configuration.
Can I shop the sale in the showroom?
Yes. Visit our Laguna Beach showroom to see materials and finishes in person, and call ahead to ask what’s on the floor.
